Here we are going to discuss 4 fiction books that you need to read and will make you fall in love with reading. These books are especially for someone who hates reading. I feel you on that because that was also me last year but here, I am talking about these amazing books! I wasn’t a reader last year, which means I didn’t necessarily enjoy reading for pleasure but these given books changed that. If you are someone who doesn’t enjoy reading yet, I feel like fiction is the way to go.
- “We Were Liars” by E Lockhart
I am so in love with this book. It’s a book that I would read again but unfortunately, you can’t read again because the plot twist is so insane that if you would re-read it, everything would be just different. This is a book about a girl who, every summer, goes to a kind of private island with her friends and cousins. She’s a teenage girl and there’s an incident that happened and she cannot remember what happened. She had a terrible accident that happened to her and the whole summer she tried to figure out what happened. No one tells her about it either.
- “They Both Die at the End” by Adam Silvera
Adam Silvera is becoming one of my favorite authors. This book is based in New York City. It’s about two boys who basically get their call to death. There’s this thing called the ‘death cast’ in their society that calls you on the day that you’re going to die. They don’t tell you when or how, they just tell you by the end of that day that you will be dead. These two teenage boys meet through this death cast thing because they both got told that they’re going to die. They didn’t know each other before that and it follows along their ‘last day’. This book took me less than a week to read because I wanted to know what was going to happen next!
- “Midnight Sun” by Stephenie Meyer
She is the author of the iconic Twilight Series which I am a die-hard fan of! She came out with this book from Edward’s point of view. So, it is the original Twilight book from Edward’s point of view and it takes you into his mind, his world, his side of things which was so interesting to read about. I was able to make connections in this book really quickly. All the other books that I mentioned can be read without having to read anything before but with the Twilight Series, there’s a lot you need to know so if you are already familiar with the Twilight Series, you must read this book right away.
- “History is All You Left Me” by Adam Silvera
This book is another quite tragic read. It is set in New York City and some of its scenes in California. It’s about this boy named Griffin whose ex-boyfriend, Theo, dies. Theo had a current boyfriend named Jackson so Griffin and Jackson have this tragic death that they bond over. This book switches off to history as well so it’ll go back in time and then it’ll go to the current place in the book which is so interesting. This book truly is a page-turner!
